Better Patient Flow Consulting

Bring us the flow problem you cannot solve

We work with emergency department and hospital leaders on difficult patient-flow problems. Tell us what is happening, what you have already tried, and what decision you need to make. If we can help, we will define an appropriate engagement and provide a custom quote.

Scoped to the problem

Start with a conversation

Our consulting services are still being defined around the problems hospital leaders bring us. We do not publish preset packages, fixed timelines, or list prices. The first step is a brief conversation to understand the problem and decide whether our experience is useful.

A focused proposal for your hospital

If there is a fit, we will send a custom proposal that defines the question, scope, deliverables, timing, and fee before any work begins. You will know exactly what we are proposing and what it will cost.

Useful conversations may involve ED throughput, boarding, staffing and demand patterns, operating constraints, ECAT readiness, or an improvement effort that has stalled.

The ECAT Readiness & Shadow Performance Report is a separate service in development. See the coming-soon ECAT page.

Who you're working with

Two emergency physicians

We built the analysis, we run every engagement, and one of us reads every inquiry. The flow thinking behind it comes from the Theory of Constraints.

Start a conversation

Tell us what is happening, what you have already tried, and what you need help deciding. We will let you know whether it sounds like a fit and, if so, what the next conversation should cover.

  • No cost for the initial conversation
  • No preset package or commitment
  • A written scope and custom quote before work begins

Please use your work email and describe the operational problem without patient information. This inquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
